Jim Corrigan is restored to life in this story.

Synopsis:
Percival Popp attempts to start up a partnership with Jim Corrigan. Jim refuses his offer, then as the Spectre leaves Percy stranded on another planet to temporarily get rid of him. The next morning, the Spectre retrieves Popp and returns him to Earth.

Despite Corrigan's refusal, Percival continues to meddle in Jim's affairs. He contacts Clarice Winston, Jim's former fiancee in hopes of rekindling their romance. Instead he uncovers a supernatural plot which lands Clarice in a coma. Fearing Clarice's condition is linked to a statue that a portrait artist threw off a pier, Percival goes after it.

The Spectre realizes that the pier is the same one where he was killed. Worried that Percival may find Corrigan's body under the water, the Spectre petitions the voice which created him. He is granted his wish, and Jim Corrigan is restored to life. The Spectre then defeats Armand, the artist, and frees Clarice from the spell.
